Guided Winter Mountaineering

BEGINNER TO ADVANCED

One Axe Ridge Lines and Snow Gullies

Imagine Summer Mountaineering but with an axe and crampons. Join us for guided mountaineering adventures on some of Scotland's classic routes, including Ledge Route, the Aonach Eagach, or Dorsal Arete. Perfect for those with winter walking experience but no climbing background, this is an ideal opportunity to acquire new skills, unlocking exciting possibilities and adventures.

PRE-REQUISITES

You need to be fit and motivated. Winter climbing, mountaineering and walking can be cold, wet and tough.


You will have done some Summer Mountaineering and / or Scrambling and have completed a Winter Skills Course or have learnt these skills independently.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

The following is included in your booking:

  • Your Guide & instruction

  • All technical climbing equipment (ropes and rack)

  • A harness & helmet (if required)

  • Axes & leash (if required)

  • Crampons (if required)

Exclusions:

  • Personal winter clothing and equipment for a day out in the mountains (you will receive a packing list)

  • Winter boots (we can recommend hire services if you do not have your own boots)

  • Accommodation

  • Gondola pass if climbing at Aonach Mor

  • Food & drink

  • Any parking fees

  • Fuel costs if travelling longer than one hour (we try to car share when possible)

  • Insurance (medical, cancellation and belongings)

We guide in the Scottish Highlands January, February and March.

We only guide small groups, and for this course, the ratio is 1 Guide : 1-2 Clients

One person £300 per day

Two people £340 per day
