Overview

You agree to the following terms and conditions by booking with Guiding Solutions. Any queries should be directed via email [info@guidingsolutions.co.uk]. Please also refer to the privacy and cookie policy.

Please do not use this website if you disagree with the following terms and conditions.

Guiding Solutions operates this website. Terms such as 'us', 'we' and 'our' refer to Guiding Solutions. The information on this website is our opinion and interpretation. We always try to remove or change any inaccuracies.

Anyone visiting this site, communicating with Guiding Solutions or purchasing any of our services is bound by these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions do not cover any link to an external website or any other digital content, and therefore, you should refer to their individual policies.

We reserve the right to alter, change, and amend these terms and conditions at any time; therefore, you must check this page for any such updates.

We refer to 'Guides', 'Instructors' and 'Leaders'. These are the individuals whom Guiding Solutions employs.

General

We employ Guides, Instructors and Leaders who are accredited with the relevant training, experience and insurance to provide the courses you have booked. You are our guest; our job is to be professional and compassionate, providing a valuable experience. We work to reduce and manage risks associated with your activity, but it is impossible to eliminate all risks. Accidents can occur without any negligence from Guiding Solutions and the staff we employ. We cannot accept any responsibility for injury, loss or damage to property when Guiding Solutions and its staff are not at fault. You are expected to take responsibility for your actions and those in your care (i.e., those under 18), follow instructions and ask if unsure. An adult must always accompany anyone under 18.

The British Mountaineering Council's (BMC) Participation Statement states that: The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.

(The British Mountaineering Council. 2007. Risk and Safety. [Online]. [Accessed 16 January 2024].

Available from: https://www.thebmc.co.uk/risk-and-safety).

Outdoor adventurous activities will always have uncertainty and risk, so we cannot guarantee any booking. One of many such factors is the weather and prevailing conditions.

Guiding Solutions can employ any experienced, qualified, insured Guide, Instructor or Leader to run your course.

By purchasing a service through Guiding Solutions, you are hiring a Guide, Instructor or Leader for their expertise and experience, and their priority is the safety and well-being of the group, including themselves. This always takes precedence above any objective. Therefore, if any participant is 'unsafe' due to a lack of fitness, demonstrating dangerous technique, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, attending with inappropriate clothing/equipment or being injured and/or not disclosing medical conditions that negatively influence their performance, then they will be asked to leave the course, with no refund provided.

You will respect your Guide/Instructor/Leader's decisions.

You must follow your Guide/Instructor/Leader's instructions and ask if unsure. Failing to do so would mean you are absolving yourself of our responsibility.

You must attend your course with the appropriate clothing and equipment. Failure to do so might result in your itinerary being amended or cancelled, with no refund offered.

Medical

It is important that you are honest regarding your health. If your Guide, Instructor or Leader has to amend your course itinerary or cancel the course because of undisclosed conditions and/or inadequate fitness, no refund will be provided. Some conditions might not prevent you from participating. If you are unsure, please contact us [info@guidingsolutions.co.uk].
