By making a booking or contacting us via this website, you agree to the transfer, storage, or processing of your personal data as set out below. Please do not use this website if you do not agree with any of the following.

1. What type of information do we collect

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the internet protocol address used to connect your computer to the Internet, e-mail address and connection information. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. During the booking process, we also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, address, phone number/s, date of birth, relevant experience and fitness, medical conditions and emergency contact details). Any reviews, feedback, or comments you submit are also stored.

Additionally, photos and videos may be taken during your course.

Any information you send to us via email or any social media platform.

2. How do we collect your information

When you complete a contact form directly on the website, we collect your name and email address. When you complete a booking form, we collect further information (address, phone number/s, date of birth, relevant experience and fitness, medical conditions and emergency contact details). When emailing us, we retain any information obtained in such correspondences, including but not limited to your email address and name. We will retain any information if you contact us via any social media platform.

3. Why do we collect such information

We collect such non-personal and personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate our services, which includes providing a duty of care to customers in remote mountain terrain

  2. To provide our customers with ongoing customer assistance and support

  3. To be able to contact our customers with general or personalized communications and any promotional messages (which we ask your consent for and can be opted out of via emailing us [info@guidingsolutions])

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal Information, which we may use to provide and improve our respective services

  5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations

4. How we store, use, share and disclose your personal information

Guiding Solutions is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform allowing us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Your booking and individual declaration forms are submitted via an HTTPS secure protocol to jotform.com servers, where they are stored, and we can view them.

If we employ other staff on a Freelance/Self Employed basis, we will provide them with your booking form and any other relevant information, as they will have a duty of care for you and therefore require such information.

We may share your information with emergency services in case of an injury or incident.

If requested, we will share your information with law enforcement. 

If you provide a review, feedback or comment, we may, with your consent, share such information on this website, social media or any other digital platform.

Photos and videos may be taken in order to share with you after your course. These are the property of Guiding Solutions, and we may use such images and videos on our website, social media platforms or any other digital content. Please tell your Guide if you do not wish to be photographed or videoed. 

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to any other outside parties. We may release your information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others' rights, property or safety.

 

5. How we communicate with you

We may contact you to share information regarding your booking/s, resolve a dispute, collect fees or monies owed, poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. We may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail for these purposes.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, we do not take responsibility for these sites' privacy policies and are therefore not governed by these sites' (www.guidingsolutions.co.uk) privacy and cookie policies.

7. Further Security information

Transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We, therefore, cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to this website. Therefore, any transmission is at your own risk.
