OUR STORY AND BEGINNINGS

WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF CLIMBING AND MOUNTAINEERING!
With two decades of active experience in the field, I've been fortunate to explore this passion across every continent, from deserts to the towering peaks of the Himalayas, the vast expanses of Antarctica, and across the UK.
I am proud to hold the Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor Award (WMCI), the highest qualification in the UK's Mountain Training schemes. This certification allows me to guide and instruct in both summer and winter conditions, enabling me to share my expertise across the diverse climbing and mountaineering opportunities the UK offers. I hold the First Response Emergency Care, level 3 (FREC 3) first aid qualification, endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, which I renew every three years.
My professional year is divided between guiding on the Isle of Skye in spring and autumn, instructing in the Peak District during summer, working in Antarctica for a few months, and guiding in the Scottish Highlands during winter. In between, I carve out time for personal climbing and skiing adventures in the Alps or other destinations.
As a member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors, I uphold the highest standards of professionalism, continually engaging in mandatory professional development to remain at the forefront of industry best practices.
Beyond my adventures in the great outdoors, I hold qualifications as a teacher and possess BSc degrees in Zoology and Sports Science & Outdoor Education.
